As with many of you reading this, I have gone through my own trajectory of politicization, building on knowledges shared across my communities fighting for liberation. I am grateful for some of what grad school has provided me, which is the time and space to deepen my scholarship and delve into my love for political ed.

I apologize to those who were rightfully offended by the title’s minimization of Indigenous struggles for territorial sovereignty. As a student, I aim to do my part in bringing truth to power.
